Remember, you don't need to change your monitor to this custom resolution, but the game will detect this custom resolution and literally "unlock" the resolution choice in game for you. The solution? Create a CUSTOM RESOLUTION at your desired game resolution (look at DW8 configure menu and find the res you want).
Since 1366x768 is NOT supported by DW8, the game maxed out my resolutions at my second option: 1024x768, instead of offering me the 1280x720 resolution which is in between.
